Hospital Quality Institute (HQI) - Bridging Gaps in Postpartum Care: Exploring STAMPP-HTN and Disparities in Postpartum Health

Dr. Rana will be discussing the risk of postpartum hypertension and the disparity in care of women in the postpartum period. She will be discussing the creation and implementation of the STAMPP- HTN program.

The Systematic Treatment and Management of Postpartum Hypertension (STAMPP-HTN) integrates evidence-based interventions, including remote blood pressure monitoring and telehealth visits, to enhance and standardize the clinical care of women with postpartum hypertension. This program has improved rates of postpartum follow-up visits and eliminated racial disparities in their patient population. It is currently standard of care at the University of Chicago.

Presentation topics include:

  • Understand the importance of follow-up for postpartum women
  • Understand disparities as it pertains for postpartum care
  • Learn about the Systematic Treatment and Management of Postpartum Hypertension (STAMPP-HTN) program
